Visit the workshop
Any commission will typically begin with a meeting with Anselm either here in the workshop, at Myreside between Haddington and Gifford, or in your home. Here you will be able to explain the brief in person and get a feel for how and where the piece will be made.
At this stage Anselm will ask you about the functionality of the piece and how it will fit into your life. Function is a major consideration and so aspects such as the features and the best type of wood to use will be discussed.
Discussing your Bespoke Furniture
Once Anselm has a solid grasp of what is required he will spend some time drawing up plans of the piece. He will present you with the possible design options.
Quote, Deposit and Work
Once you have approved a design, Anselm will then quote a price for the job. If you agree, a 50% deposit will be paid and work will commence. Then, for example, about 6 weeks later for a table or 12 weeks later for a bespoke kitchen, your commission will be completed and, if requested, delivered to you.
And let us not forget, everything we make is built to last a lifetime…
