This design works as a floor standing lamp, living room side table lamp or bedside table lamp. Inspiration originates from a love of George Braque’s early cubist paintings with organic lines juxtaposing his pioneering approach to abstract geometry. The arcing body is constructed from four vertically alternating elements with the two staggered tabletops highlighting the tree’s annual growth rings. Not only does this present a pleasing contrast in textural detail but is also a great visual reminder to emphasise the slow living nature of our native hardwood trees. Not such a bad thought to reflect upon when winding down at the end of a busy day.
