Slab and Surabu were designed with our rare collection of massive burr oak slabs in mind. We are unlikely to find such astonishing timber of this size again, so the principal objective of both table designs is to glorify the unique beauty found within each slab. Often, we attempt to evoke subtle elegance in design, so it is refreshing to work with a material that demands a more boastful approach. As this mighty oak lived not far from Stonehenge, the two legs are heavily influenced by the monument. Only on closer inspection are you drawn to the twist running up each monolithic leg.
